Lovers of the bard and of literature in general take heed: Karma Salford Hall is playing host to an autumnal weekend celebrating the written word at the world famous Cheltenham Literature Festival, which this year features such literary luminaries as Rebecca F Kuang, Richard Osman, Jodi Picoult, Richard Ayoade and David Nichols. Besides attendance at the festival on Saturday, the weekend includes a leisurely literary pub quiz, sumptuous dinner, bookshop crawl, pub lunch and a visit to Shakespear’s house in Stratford Upon Avon.
ITINERARY
FRIDAY, 11TH OCTOBER 2024
- Check-in.
- Join us in the panelled bar for a relaxed literature-themed pub quiz followed by a delicious welcome dinner with your fellow literature lovers.
SATURDAY, 12TH OCTOBER 2024
- Breakfast at Karma Salford Hall.
- Head to Cheltenham Literature Festival for the day where you can choose from a range of talks, panels and discussions with leading literary lights.
- Bookshop crawl’ Discover historic bookshops with incredible collections before swapping notes over traditional tea and cake.
- Head back to Karma Salford Hall for a gala dinner at Tempest Restaurant featuring a specially curated menu celebrating all things literature.
SUNDAY, 13TH OCTOBER 2024
- Breakfast at Karma Salford Hall.
- Visit Shakespeare’s birthplace and childhood home in Stratford Upon Avon and learn all about the great bard’s life.
- Group pub lunch before heading back to Karma Salford Hall for check out.
