ANGLER’S DELIGHT:
FISHING THE MALDIVES

Experience the magic of the Maldives as Karma COO and lifelong fishing enthusiast Vic Faulkner hosts a four day angling adventure in some of the richest seas on the planet. Step on board our luxury vessel Karma Fushi with its beautifully appointed cabins, on-board restaurant, pools Jacuzzi and even a waterslide as we share an exhilarating fishing expedition including casting, jigging, reef fishing and trolling for iconic species including job fish and grouper as well as ocean-going giants like wahoo and tuna. Whether you’re a rookie or a pro, we’ll have you hooked – and for non-anglers too there’s plenty to enjoy from island hopping to watersports to snorkelling. Once the day’s fishing is over, our on-board chef will prepare your catch of the day – and as night falls there’ll also be the opportunity to cast a line under the stars. We’ll end our voyage with a gala seafood dinner — and a grand prize for the winning angler! 

ITINERARY

DAY 1 – MONDAY, 11TH NOVEMBER 2024

• You will be met at the airport and transferred by boat to Karma Fushi. Time to relax.
• 6pm Welcome and safety briefing by the captain. We’ll walk you  through the itinerary and the wide range of fishing options available during the trip.
• 6.30pm Welcome dinner under the stars with time for post dinner digestifs and fishing tales.
• 8.30pm Beginners fishing class for the less experienced – how to tackle up and be prepared. Night fishing for enthusiasts.

DAY 2 – TUESDAY, 12TH NOVEMBER 2024

• 6am – 7am Breakfast
• 8am – 9am Casting and jigging lessons for beginners
• 8am – 12pm Reef fishing with poppers and swimbaits or jigging and bottom fishing
• 1pm – 2pm Lunch featuring catch of the day
• 3pm – 6pm Trolling as we make our way to the overnight fishing spot
• 7pm – 8pm Dinner with recap of the day’s action
• 9pm – Late Night fishing for squid and demersals

DAY 3 – WEDNESDAY, 13TH NOVEMBER 2024

• 6am – 7am Breakfast
• 8am – 9am Further casting and jigging lessons for beginners. Filleting and cooking lessons for keen cooks
• 8am – 12pm Reef fishing with poppers and swimbaits or jigging and bottom fishing or lagoon/flats casting from sand spit or bill fish chasing
• 1pm – 2pm Lunch with catch of the day
• 3pm – 6pm Trolling as we make our way to the overnight fishing spot
• 7pm – 8pm Dinner with recap of the day’s action
• 9pm – Late Night fishing for squid and demersals

DAY 4 – THURSDAY, 14TH NOVEMBER 2024

• 6am – 7am Breakfast
• 8am – 9am Filleting and cooking lessons for keen cooks
• 8am – 12pm midday reef fishing with poppers and swimbaits or jigging and bottom fishing or lagoon/flats casting from sand spit or bill fish chasing
• 1pm – 2pm Lunch featuring catch of the day
• 3pm – 6pm Trolling as we make our way to the overnight fishing spot Or
  5am – 10am and 3pm – 6pm Big game fishing out in deeper waters.
• 7pm – 8pm Gala seafood dinner with recap of the day’s action. 
• 9pm – Late Night fishing for squid and demersals

DAY 5 – FRIDAY, 15TH NOVEMBER 2024

• 6am – 7am Breakfast
• 8am Review of the whole trip and prize-giving for best angler. Farewell and thank you
