SURREALIST SOJOURN
IN SOUTHERN SPAIN

Explore magical Malaga through the unique lens of one of its most famous sons: Surrealist master Pablo Picasso. Join us at Karma La Herriza this October for an art-lovers long weekend as we explore the life and times of one of Spain’s most famous painters – from his birthplace to his favourite sherry bar – try our hand at some oil painting of our own and indulge in southern Spanish staples from flamenco to paella, all culminating in a fabulous five-course feast inspired by the master himself!

ITINERARY

DAY 1 – THURSDAY, 24 OCTOBER 2024

Check-in at your leisure followed by welcome dinner featuring local classics

DAY 2 – FRIDAY, 25 OCTOBER 2024

MALAGA PICASSO TOUR
Visit the home of Pablo Picasso and the church where he was baptised. Enjoy an aperitif at the local sherry bar that the artist used to frequent. Market crawl followed by lunch and a visit to the Picasso Museum.
Head back to Karma La Herriza for a Live Paella Cooking demonstration plus Flamenco guitar & dancing.

DAY 3 – SATURDAY, 26 OCTOBER 2024

OIL PAINTING CLASS ON THE VERANDA
Learn the fundamentals of painting with oils assisted by talented local artists from the town of Gaucin.
Lunch: communal pass around tapas and delicious rosado wine.
Dinner at your leisure – whether at Karma La Herriza or in nearby Gaucin

DAY 4 – SUNDAY, 27 OCTOBER 2024

PICASSO-INSPIRED DINNER
Our weekend culminates in an immersive five course dining experience designed to excite all of the senses – a fine dining art installation if you will. Each course is inspired by Picasso’s works of art as well as his favourite food and wines. Your menu is a work of art in itself and designed to be cherished. Guests’ oil paintings will be displayed on easels around the table.
